Construction Workers Not Being Tested For Lead Paint Exposure WSOCtv.com, NC
At Albemarle's Central Elementary School, construction workers are back on site -- even as work to remove dangerous lead paint dust -- found last October -- continues. The school system and its lead contractor originally told Eyewitness News all employees on the job were tested for potential health problems. Our investigation has discovered that's not true.

Former employees, who worked for months inside the school, said no one ever notified them that they too might have been exposed to lead.

'Your old bosses, old companies didn't contact you?' asked reporter Jim Bradley.

'No, never,' said construction worker Lee Wyrick.

'Nobody told you there was lead paint in there?' asked Bradley.

'No. Not until I saw your news broadcast did I have any idea there was lead paint in there,' said Wyrick.
