On the waterfront - By MITCHELL SEIDEL, Newark Star Ledger, NJ
The irony of the current photography show at the Hoboken Historical Museum could not be more apparent. 'Like Family,' black-and-white images by Benedict J. Fernandez, was shot at the Bethlehem Steel Shipyard that once occupied the site of the museum.
The show's title undoubtedly comes from the nature of the shipyard community, where sons often followed fathers into apprenticeships. Fernandez, himself the son of a shipyard worker, was employed there before moving on to a career in photography.------------------------------------------- posted 5:05 AM :: reference link ::
