Petition calls for removal of carpenters union leaders - BY BILL DOLAN, Munster Times, IN
Dissident members of Northwest Indiana's troubled carpenters union are calling for removal of two senior leaders in the wake of a continuing Department of Labor investigation into union finances.
They claim in a petition distributed at region work sites that hundreds of thousands of dollars in union dues are missing from an incentive fund to make union labor competitive with cheaper nonunion contractors.
The petition calls on the national union to remove Indiana/Kentucky Regional Council of Carpenters Senior Business Agent Aaron Carlberg and Senior Organizer Carl Lakomek 'for their culpability in this matter.'------------------------------------------- posted 5:05 AM :: reference link ::
