B.C. to form committee to examine reducing export of raw logs after protest - CBC News, Canada
Protesters from Port Alberni were at the B.C. legislature to tell the government raw log exports and the loss of Crown forest lands is crippling their once vibrant and thriving forest-dependent community.
Coleman met with Port Alberni Mayor Ken McRae, Steve Hunt, a United Steelworkers of America official, and Sinclair following the protest.
'The government recognizes the people of this province have had enough of this and they want a change,' said Sinclair.------------------------------------------- posted 7:05 AM :: reference link ::
