    HONORING ROSIE THE RIVETER'S MAINE CHAMPION - Kennebec Journal, ME
    McCormick is former Maine state treasurer and now is director of the Maine State Housing Authority.

    Before her political and governmental career, McCormick operated her own home building and design firm and wrote two books related to home construction. In 1975, she was the first woman to complete the carpenters' union apprenticeship program.

    In 1989, McCormick formed Women Unlimited, a group that trains women in trade and technical occupations.
