Daley aide tied to hiring teen inspector - Chicago Tribune
The hiring of the building inspector, Andrew Ryan, embarrassed Daley because it occurred the year after a nightclub stampede and a porch collapse. After Ryan's job made headlines, the city forced him to resign for allegedly falsifying his application.
