Ask The Californian - Bakersfield Californian
Q: I've been seeing signs all over town that say 'Shame on' such and such. Who is behind these signs and who and why are they shaming these businesses?
-- Cathie Sexton
Bill Mangum, a union representative for Carpenters Local 1506, said the union has 12 banners on display around town adorned with the words 'Shame On (followed by the business name)' and 'Labor Dispute.'
He said the banners are directed at two local contractors and the banner is the union's 'way of getting it out to the public those contractors don't pay prevailing wages.'"------------------------------------------- posted 6:51 AM :: reference link ::
