OSHA proposes $24,000 fine because laborer fell - BY DAVID A SMITH, Waterbury Republican American, CT
The alleged willful violation carries a proposed $21,000 fine, while the serious violations each carry proposed $1,500 penalties, Fitzgerald said. The alleged willful violation cites a lack of fall protection on the platform.
As for the alleged serious violations, one charges Wohlfert was "working from a supported scaffold that did not support at least four times its maximum intended weight," Fitzgerald said. The second contends the lift hoisting the platform was being used for a purpose for which it was not designed.------------------------------------------- posted 5:48 AM :: reference link ::
