New training center benefits carpenters - By Joe Estrella, The Idaho Statesman
The United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 635 this week announced the grand opening of a new 6,000-square-foot training center at 965 S. Industrial Way in Meridian, which is behind the Home Depot store.
An estimated 60 union apprentice and journeymen carpenters are enrolled in certification programs that include door hardware installation and scaffold erection, or are earning college credits in drywall work, metal stud framing, cabinetry, concrete form work and wood framing.------------------------------------------- posted 7:51 PM :: reference link ::
