Alberta construction company guilty of safety violation in fatal fall - CP, OHS Canada
At the time of the death, provincial officials said H & H Stucco and Siding had been cited 23 times in the past four years for safety violations.

In a news release, Alberta Human Resources said Friday's fine is one of the first imposed since maximum fines were increased on Dec. 4, 2002.

'The case marks a major turning point in sentences imposed under the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act,' said the release.

The maximum fine is now $500,000. The highest previous fine handed out in the province was $172,500.
