Support a federal anti-scab law - CUPE Canada
In October 2006, the House of Commons will vote on a private members' bill that would make it illegal for employers covered by the Canada Labour Code to hire scabs.
Private members bills don't often get very far, but this one - Bill C-257 - has an excellent chance of becoming law because of the volatile minority parliament. A year ago, a similar bill, bill C-263 was defeated by only 12 votes.
Please take a few minutes to write a message to your MP about why we need a federal anti-scab law.
Be sure to write your own message. This greatly increases the impact your letter will have.------------------------------------------- posted 5:30 PM :: reference link ::
