    Hoffa wins re-election as Teamsters president - By Press Associates via Workday Minnesota
    With 272,820 Teamsters voting nationwide, out of total union membership of more than 1.2 million, Hoffa, a Detroit native, had 174,963 votes (64.1 percent) to 92,444 (33.9 percent) for challenger Tom Needham of Portland, Ore. Needham was making his second race for the union's top job. The other votes were scattered.
