Egg-sucking dogs and other pitfalls - By CHRIS CHURCHILL, Albany Times Union, NY
An egg-sucking dog, Vander Kooi explained, is a good employee gone bad. 'Something has snapped up here,' he said, pointing to his head. 'And now they are a cancer on your company.'This employee spreads negativity, Vander Kooi said, and can doom a company if he's not dealt with. And every company, he said, has the type.

Construction consultant warns against 'egg-sucking dogs' - Albany Business Review, NY
"In construction, labor is the greatest risk," Vander Kooi, 59, said. "I tell 'em concrete doesn't get drunk on Wednesday night and won't show up for work on Thursday morning. And backhoes don't marry skid loaders and have little babies, but people do, boy."

So what exactly is an egg-sucking dog? To understand it best, listen to Vander Kooi tell a story about a man he met from Tennessee.
