Labor agreement reached at convention center
Among other resolutions, the Carpenters, Laborers and Teamsters unions will now form one, unified work force.
The three unions will split work according to "historical proportions" that will be adjusted quarterly, said Pat Gillespie, business manager of the Philadelphia Building Trades Council, an umbrella group of the construction trades. The Laborers will have 55 percent, the Carpenters will have 44 percent, and the Teamsters 10 percent of the work, he said.------------------------------------------- posted 7:07 AM :: reference link ::
