As negotiations continue, Verizon employees working without formal contract "Leaders of the nation's largest phone company and its two unions, the Communications Workers of America and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, continued bargaining in New York. Separate talks with federal mediators entered a sixth day in Washington. The old contract expired at 12:01 a.m. yesterday.
