Alcoa Union Workers Can Display Their American Pride 14 WFIE Reporter: Stefanie Silvey
Sticker shock at Alcoa goes to federal court. This follows a two-year battle over flag decals on worker hard hats.
The battle began when Alcoa issued a mandate telling its workers all stickers had to be removed from their hard hats, except for a sticker bearing the company's logo.
The sticking point however, was the sticker with the American flag, which read "Buy Union, Buy American."
Union workers at Alcoa are glad to have their day in court. "To let the people know how Alcoa is. It used to be good 36 years ago when I started, but it's gone down hill since then," says union worker Wilbert Robinson.
