Union begins campaign against Ottawa selling its Petro-Canada shares Canadian Press
MONTREAL - The union representing Petro-Canada workers officially began an opposition campaign Wednesday against the sale of the federal government's 19 per cent stake in the Calgary-based oil company.
Brian Payne, president of the Communications Energy and Paperworkers Union, said a survey indicates 73 per cent of Canadians support the union's position that the government should keep its stake.
