Immigrants win contractor suit By Kelly Pate Dwyer, Denver Post
The case stemmed from protests in the summer of 2000. About 100 workers organized a work stoppage, and on July 16 they were fired, union officials with the Rocky Mountain Regional Council of Carpenters said at the time. Workers had sought union help to fight alleged discrimination as well as representation to improve wages, benefits and working conditions.
