Worker dug out of fallen trench By Dominick DiRienzo, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review
It was the area's fourth trench accident in eight months.

American Enterprise Contracting Inc., of McKees Rocks, was fined $15,000 by OSHA in February for a Dec. 15 collapse that killed William Lee Steadman, 37, in December. OSHA is still investigating the June 29 Washington County trench collapse that killed William Partin, 39, of North Fayette and injured another worker. In November, a worker was buried up to his chest while digging a trench at the site of a church under construction in White Oak. He survived.

'These (collapses) always have a serious potential,' Huerbin said. OSHA says a cubic foot of soil can weigh 100 pounds.
