Bribes could cost broker his license Indianapolis Star
Pastrick, 37, pleaded guilty in May to seven counts involving a kickback scheme for a $10 million land deal in Chesterton's Coffee Creek development.
Pastrick, a son of longtime East Chicago Mayor Robert Pastrick, admitted he used part of the $600,000 commission for kickbacks to officials of a carpenters union to invest money from its pension fund for the 55 acres of vacant land.
He was charged with paying the bribes to union lawyer Peter Manous, a former state Democratic Party chairman, and Gerry Nannenga, who was the union's executive treasurer-secretary. Manous and Nannenga have pleaded guilty to taking part the scheme.------------------------------------------- posted 8:40 AM :: reference link ::
