Local shipyards 'saddened' by B.C. Ferries' choice to build in Germany By Steve Berry, The Province
The decision to build three B.C. super-ferries in Germany has left a sour taste in the mouths of shipyard workers and the firm that wanted to build the ships here.
"We think it's a sad day for the province and the people in our industry," said George MacPherson, president of the B.C. Shipyard General Workers Federation. "They've done a total disservice to the people of the province and to the industry. There's a lot of frustration out there, to say the least."------------------------------------------- posted 6:50 AM :: reference link ::
