Feds keep eyes on Carpenters By Steve Walsh, Gary Post Tribune, IN
Federal agents’ interest in the Carpenters union did not end with convictions in the Coffee Creek bribery scandal.
Agents from the U.S. Department of Labor seized records last week from the offices of Carpenters Local 1005 in Hobart. Agents with the U.S. Labor office in Chicago would not comment publicly on the investigation.
Officials with the Carpenters or Local 1005 could not be reached for comment on Tuesday or Wednesday.
