OSHA: Nothing to fear from construction By Sylvain Metz, Jackson Clarion Ledger, MS
Nationally, nearly 200 construction workers die from motor vehicles on the job site each year and hundreds of others are injured, according to the Building Trades Labor-Management Organization of Washington.
'Anytime you have construction activity, people need to be concerned, particularly from vehicles (passing by) construction workers. There's always a problem for workers to be near vehicular traffic. Drivers get distracted,' Payne said, noting that 'it only takes a moment for a driver to get distracted' resulting in tragic consequences.------------------------------------------- posted 7:09 AM :: reference link ::
