Union Carpenters Protest Workers With Picket Line By EILEEN MCNAMARA, TheDay, CT
Members of the New England Regional Council of Carpenters, Local 24, stood in the frigid rain for about four hours Friday afternoon decrying Jesmac Inc.'s hiring of workers from Massachusetts who are not union members.

“We think there are plenty of carpenters here in Connecticut who could use the work,” said Margaret L. Conable, a union official.
