Polk, 2 firms sued in death of worker at Events Center DesMoinesRegister.com
Relatives of an Indianola ironworker crushed last year by a 15-ton girder during construction of the Iowa Events Center filed a wrongful-death lawsuit Tuesday that accuses Polk County and its lead construction firm of negligence.
The wife and sons of William Augustine, 65, allege that insufficient safety procedures were in place when a more than 100-foot-long steel girder rolled over Augustine on Sept. 19.------------------------------------------- posted 12:53 PM :: reference link ::
