    New hall prompts old labor debate - BY PAUL BRADLEY, Richmond Times Dispatch, VA
    Tobias said the irony of the debate is that that day laborers, in many ways, embody the American dream, taking menial jobs as they try to climb the economic ladder.

    'The Irish were in the same situation,' he said. 'The Jewish, the Italians, they were the same. I think we forget about that.'
