The BCTF have taken the BC Liberal government to the courts twice and won their case. In zealous retaliation your government arbitrarily, in a bullying manner, rewrote the laws and overrode the courts decisions. This is not only a blatant misuse of power it also makes a mockery of the courts as well as the Rule of Law.
Your government has further perverted the Rule of Law by ignoring the United Nations International Labour Organization who found that the BC government had violated the United Nations Convention on freedom of association when it enacted Bills 2, 15, 18, 27, 28 and 29. All these Bills were found to have violated International Labour Standards, which are respected in democracies worldwide. Canada, including British Columbia and the rest of the provinces, signed the UN Convention on Freedom of Association in 1972 and, in direct opposition to your ignoring these rulings; the law applies to you as well as all levels of government in the country.------------------------------------------- posted 5:11 AM :: reference link ::
