    The UAW should get credit for cooperating with Ford to make its Wixom plant, near Detroit, the third-best for quality in North America, outshining most Japanese-owned plants. (Ironically, Wixom is one of the plants targeted to be shut down.)

    DETROIT - As General Motors Corp. and Ford Motor Co. workers miss out on bonuses because of their companies' financial problems, U.S. workers at Toyota Motor Corp. and Honda Motor Co. will be getting thousands of dollars from their profitable employers.
