City Hall initially denied jobs to building inspectors - Crain's Chicago Business
The two men, both sons of high-ranking union officials, were hired in the summer of 2004 but were forced to resign a few months later after questions arose about their qualifications for the $49,548-a-year posts. At the time, city officials said they failed to verify their employment histories.
