Workplace Safety and Insurance Board promises more graphic ads to drive safety message home - By VINCE VERSACE, Daily Commercial News, Canada
If the road to workplace fatality and injury prevention means turning a few stomachs, the WSIB is willing to steer in that direction, its chairman says.
“We hoped our graphic public awareness campaign last year would shock people into action to decrease the staggering number of workplace fatalities,” says Steve Mahoney, Workplace Safety Insurance Board chairman. “This is not happening quickly enough, so this year we are raising the bar even higher with ads that will strike an emotional chord with the people of Ontario.”
This year’s awareness campaign theme is “There Really are No Accidents.”------------------------------------------- posted 7:02 AM :: reference link ::
