Construction sites still risky for workers - by Derrick Penner, Vancouver Sun, Canada
British Columbia's construction unions used the anniversary of one of the worst construction accidents in Vancouver's recent history to renew their message that too many of their ranks are still dying on the job.
On Jan. 7, 1981, four workers plunged to their deaths from the top of the Bentall Four tower at Melville and Thurlow streets, when the wood and metal form they stood on broke away from the building's 36th floor.
