Carpenter's Union celebrates opening of their new building Canada NewsWire
The Executive Secretary Treasurer of the Carpenter's Council Ucal Powell, said "The opening of this building raises the Carpenter's Union to another level in the GTA and in Canada. "Our members can be proud of our achievements of the past, and this building is a symbol of our vision and hope for the future, something future generations of Carpenters can be proud of!"
Invited guests scheduled to attend are Vaughan Mayor Michael DiBiase, the Honourable Greg Sorbara, the Honourable Chris Bentley, the Honourable Joe Volpe and numerous other politicians from 3 levels of Government. Also scheduled are Douglas McCarron, General President of the United Brotherhood of Carpenter's and Joiners of America; a 500,000 strong Union with head quarters in Washington DC., and many representatives of Ontario's Unionized Construction industry. Master of Ceremonies for the event will be Ken Shaw, News Anchorman for CFTO.
