120 Religious Leaders Urge Quebecor World to Respect Workers' Rights CNW Telbec
According to charges filed with the National Labor Relations Board, workers have been intimidated, threatened, spied on, and even fired because of their efforts to form a union.
Religious leaders from diverse faith traditions -- including Baptist, United Methodist, United Church of Christ, Christian Methodist Episcopal, African Methodist Episcopal, Apostolic, Roman Catholic and Jewish -- offered support for Quebecor World workers' rights in a letter demanding a fair process for workers to decide whether or not to form a union. The majority of the religious leaders are from communities in Mississippi and Tennessee where Quebecor workers are actively attempting to organize a union with the Graphic Communications International Union (GCIU).------------------------------------------- posted 4:34 PM :: reference link ::
