Chan calls for new Bay Bridge audit By Sean Holstege, Oakland Tribune
If an audit committee approves her request next week, it would add to a growing list of investigations into allegations by Bay Bridge welders they were pressured to conceal bad welds. The list includes the FBI, the state attorney general's office and the Federal Highway Administration.
On Tuesday, FHWA spokeswoman Nancy Singer said the agency is compiling results from tests on welds cut from the bridge a week ago. She said the government hopes to report findings to Caltrans 'very soon.'------------------------------------------- posted 11:07 AM :: reference link ::
