Loading bay moved day before scaffold collapse - BY ALICIA BABAEE, MK News, UK
A vital piece of equipment was removed from the scaffolding structure at Jurys Inn the day before it collapsed, an inquest has heard.
Evidence suggests that a loading bay was taken down before it was finished with in order for other work to continue.
Carpenter John Robinson, who was on the scaffolding when it crashed to the ground on April 11, 2006, died in hospital three days later.
Yesterday a solicitor said evidence yet to be heard by the inquest would suggest substantial parts of scaffolding were missing.------------------------------------------- posted 6:39 AM :: reference link ::
